Improve Quality of Health and Life Longevity: Aggressive lifestyle Intervention

18 Motivational Types gives us power over human influence.  It improves our ability to coach and increases  the value of coaching our clients - we now have more at our finger tips than any average trainer. The people that are part of this group are far beyond the typical trainer.

Continue to grow and operate our businesses as The Reach, The Funnel and The Spillover

The experience of being coached:  Evaluate your ability to Coach by answering these questions:

  1. Did you feel heard and understood?
  2. Did you complete the session feeling a sense of progress?
  3. Did your coach help you pinpoint or stay connected to a certain outcome?

Disease is a continuum with a direct correlation with systemic inflammation evolving within a person for a period of time. Interrupt the continuum and reverse the disease process which reduces the inflammatory disease.  Doesn’t take much to realize how vast the impact of this power is.

Medical convention is failing a large part of 80% of the population but personal trainers can play a role in helping many people will ailing conditions.  Personal trainers can impact men with low testosterone levels, individuals with low bone density, and even play a formidable role in the anti-aging process.  Conventionally, doctors prescribe medication for these conditions however, with the proper training, the conditions can be improved by targeting “wellness.”  Exercise and healthy diet makes us feel younger, stronger, and gives us more energy.

Analyze what you know and help yourself and clients live a fuller, better and longer life than they are presently programmed for.  Can we affect the present programming of our clients to help them live a longer life?  Some of it is genetic and some of it is created.  We’ve changed our own programming…now it’s time to coach our clients to do the same.

What is an antioxidant?
Oxidation = aging and cellular damage.  ie: Rust is oxidation… think of yourself as “rusting.”
Since the 1950s we’ve known about the theory of aging being caused by oxidation.  Scientists have shown that a reduction in free radicals in the blood stream has proven to support the reduction of cancer cells, improves heart health and brain health.  The use of antioxidants didn’t become popular until the 1970s (20 years after the first theories came about), rising popularity came about in the 80s and sky rocketed in the 90s due to the increase of  Supplement makers and suppliers  which appealed to the baby boomer generation.  Although these suppliers and manufacturers have a huge business, they have not been able to prove the extension of life as a result of taking these supplements; individuals have only improved their general health. So, the bigger question is why do antioxidants improve health and cure diseases but not necessarily increase longevity of life?

Can personal trainers impact mitochondrial health?

Free radicals in the blood stream = disease.  We need to focus on where the free radicals are produced and focus on the reduction of their production.  Protecting people from disease associated with aging should focus on mitochondrial health.  We have to provide adequate fuel (steady stream of glucose) for the mitochondria to be healthy.  If we interrupt insulin production, we interrupt the mitochondria production of food  and then the system is compromised resulting in more free radicals escaping and doing damage.

Recent science research shows that two supplements play a role in mitochondrial levels:
Alpha Lipoic acid and Acetyl L-Carnitine.

As trainers we need to help our clients make changes in what they do and what they eat: Aggressive lifestyle Intervention.

We accomplish this in four steps.

  1. Empowerment
  2. Assessment
  3. Prescription, Coaching, and Training
  4. Assessing, Coaching, and Weaning

Friend vs. Foe: Evaluate what are you presently doing to grow your reach, your funnel or your spillover?

Have you ever been in a situation where someone’s stare or “eye-lock” makes you feel uncomfortable?  Why did you make this assessment?  Based on appearance, emotion, fear?

The brain can recognize an item in 200 milliseconds – which is faster than a computer can perform a task and which is also faster than the individual can be consciously aware of what he/she sees.  This happens on a level other than a conscious level.  The actual decision and formation of association of emotion takes place in 2 seconds. As a trainer doing outreach, we must form eye-lock.  If you can’t’ assure your client within 2 seconds of your beneficial intentions, you will not connect.

Incorporate into your training:

  1. Lock eyes
  2. relax posture
  3. smile and speak within 2 seconds

Don’t hesitate – make the decision and approach.  If you wait too long they will lose their trust in you. It’s also important to teach this strategy to your staff.

In next 30 days – add 60 new prospects to your database. 60 qualified “HOT LIST” for Alive Protocol.
These qualified prospects should meet this criteria:

  1. Unwell (not sick)
  2. Overweight
  3. People are comprised in their quality of life
  4. People that have desire to improve
  5. Experienced some failed attempts
